In The Mist Of It All

Misty field taken in Casalattico, Italy during a winter morning where you can see houses succumb in fog

A winter morning in Casalattico, Italy (November 2024)

“In the Mist of it All” is a serene landscape photograph I captured in the quiet rural town of Casalattico, Italy, on a misty morning. Inspired by my deep-rooted love for nature that traces back to my childhood, I uses photography to convey a sense of ease, stillness, and cinematic tranquility. The soft mist enveloping fields and scattered homes surrounded by mountains evokes both personal nostalgia and universal calm, reminiscent of the unhurried, hospitable lifestyle back home. This photo was shot using a Fujifilm Digital Z300 camera and I enhanced it in Affinity Photo, where the image was carefully color-graded to highlight the lush greenery and bring focus to the clustered homes, with subtle grain added for texture and depth. Through this work, I want the viewers to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the quiet beauty around them, encouraging a moment of pause and a gentle reminder that it’s okay to rest, to breathe, and to simply be.

This piece was showcase in my first ever gallery exhibition called Emerging Perspectives by Reynold’s Art Gallery located in Citywest Business Campus last month along with another beautiful scenic photograph that I will be showing in the next blog! I want to start sharing my work and progress here whatever it may be as I just want to see how far I can go with this creative journey. Keeping up a creative momentum is very difficult for me and being able to go back over the milestones I did, does really help me remember that I can do it. <3

Second Piece SOLD!!

I am proud to share that I sold my second piece during the opening night! It was such a memorable experience I will never forget. It feels wonderful to think that this beautiful photograph will be going to its new home~

I will be forever grateful and will continue my photography journey.
